Privacy Policy
JN Dossier ("we", "the app") is a single-person, independently run product. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have over it.
What we collect
- Account identity: your name and email, from Google Sign-In.
- Your career content: what you tell the interview, and anything you upload (a résumé or similar document) — this becomes your master profile.
- Usage metadata: content-free technical data such as timestamps, token counts, error types, and feature usage — never the content of what you say or upload.
How it's protected
Your profile is encrypted before it's stored. Full detail is on the Security page.
Where your data goes
Your career content is sent to Anthropic (the maker of Claude, the AI model we use) strictly to process your interview and generate your documents — never for advertising, never sold, never used by us to train any model. We don't control Anthropic's own data handling beyond our agreement with them as a service provider; if you want their policies directly, see Anthropic's own privacy documentation.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't use your career content to train any AI model.
- We don't share your profile with anyone else without your action (e.g., you choosing to export and send a document yourself).
Your rights
- Access: you can download a copy of everything we hold about you.
- Deletion: you can delete your account and all associated data, permanently, at any time from the Account page.
- Correction: anything the interview gets wrong can be corrected in the conversation itself — your profile reflects the latest version.
Retention
We keep your profile for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account removes it. Content-free technical logs are kept for a limited period (currently up to 90 days) for security and reliability purposes, then aged out.
